MISSOULA, MT, August 31, 2018 – Since 2011, employees from Spectrum Aquatics, a local Montana manufacturer, have participated in an annual Day of Caring project that seeks making a difference in the communities they live, work and play. For their 2018 project, Spectrum held a fundraiser to provide school supplies to their neighbors at DeSmet School. The DeSmet Public School transforms lives through teaching, inspiring and nurturing.
“We are touched that Spectrum Aquatics would think of DeSmet School for their Day of Caring project,” added Principal Matthew Driessen.
This summer, Spectrum’s Day of Caring team went to neighboring businesses to fundraise while also holding a successful 50/50 raffle for employees. In total, they raised $925 that allowed them to purchase supplies to make a Back-to-school pouch for each child to receive on their first day of school as well as gift cards for each teacher to put toward classroom supplies. They also made motivational posters for each classroom letting them know the Spectrum team wished them a wonderful year.
“We are excited about this project in many ways,” added Marketing Manager, Chase Taylor of Spectrum Aquatics. “It’s nice to help a school that is right across the street from Spectrum and getting all 48 employees working toward a common fundraising goal.”
